Kristian Meurman Trio – Kristian Meurman

Kristian Meurman & Asiainkannattajat (The Kristian Meurman Trio) is a new setup which combines a full band sound in a convenient and cost-effective package. Although these gentlemen haven’t performed together in this specific combination before 2026, they have 20 years of work experience in the bigger Kristian Meurman & The I.S.O. band.

The combined live performance experience for Kristian Meurman Trio is over 100 years.

Kristian Meurman Trio is per definition a live band. The travel expenses are moderate and the band’s live performance equipment has been optimized to be easily transported and taking up only minimal space. Hence this combo functions well also on smaller stages and its volume level is suitable also for smaller venues. The ingenious setup still consists of a high quality sound system, the traditional setup of a rock music power trio (drums, bass, guitar) and even boasts a small stage lighting system for added feeling. This said, if necessary, the bands sound system is sufficient to make also bigger venues filled with great music.

What kind of music do they play?

Kristian Meurman Trio serves up a wide array of both Finnish and international music throughout a long timline.

They’re happy to for instance perform:

1950’s rock n’ roll
1960’s folk music
1970’s hard rock
1980’s hair metal
1990’s new wave punk
2000’s Finnish schlager music
2010’s Finnish pop music
2020’s international hits

…and these examples are all found in the setlist!

In addition, some song requests e.g. for private events can be rehearsed by the band upon separate agreement.

The gig setup is always tailored when necessary and of course the main singer’s hit songs from his four solo albums are included as well.

The Band

KRISTIAN MEURMAN – vocals, guitar and bass

This multitalent began touring already in 1994. A composer, writer, arranger and producer, who also has worked as A&R Manager for his own record label.

Performed outside Finland for instance in Japan, China and Colombia.

Famous in Finland for his timeless performances of some of the most loved classics in Finnish pop music history. A seasoned performer known both from Idols (2007) and The Voice of Finland (2026).

PITKÄ PARKKINEN – percussions

A very talented drummer and percussionist, whose career spans over five decades. A trusted player in many house bands, whose laid back but firm style leaves many listeners’ ears in awe. An innovative percussionist, who manages to produce a big sound from a small set.

Known to play anything from speed metal to reggae – with celebrated recorded examples available from all of these genres!

IMRE SZABÓ – vocals, bass and guitar

A multi-instrumentalist and a razor sharp progressive rock and pop music composer and writer, who bends to any musical style. A singer with a very wide vocal range who is celebrated among musicians as one of Finland’s most prominent bass players.

Released one solo album and working on his second release.

Functions as the trio’s second vocalist and plays both bass and guitar in the band.
